So the internet blew up today with Zack Snyder’s reveal of the new Batman and Batmobile follow his tease tweet yesterday. If you haven’t seen the pic already, you can see it in all it’s glory below!
The team for the sequel to Man of Steel are definitely taking ques from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, which would coincide with early reports of Miller being a consultant on the project early on.
AMC Theatres even posted a close-up of the new Bat-Suit:
Even the new Batmobile has a Tumbler/Comic mash-up that’s kind of cool.
But what are the thoughts over here at FUZZYBUG? Well, overall, definitely like the look of it all! The only criticism, and it’s SUPER minor, it looks like the new Bat-Suit has sculpted muscles? DEFINITELY not a fan of that. Unless the costume is super-tight spandex, and Affleck got crazy ripped, sculpted muscles on a costume like this seems like a wrong move. Almost a throwback to Joel Schumacher’s Batman… and do we really want to go back nipples? DO WE?
Either way, overall, digging it. A cross of Nolan’s Batman, and a little comic book themed fantastic. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out on screen. But people, let’s not forget, it’s all for a SUPERMAN movie, just sayin’, but more on that later. 😉
