Breaking my heart Netflix, breaking my heart. Like the headline says kids, ALTERED CARBON has been canceled by Netflix after 2 seasons.
This report is coming from io9, the decision was made not because of the pandemic, but more the cost of the show against what the viewership has been. For me, this definitely sucks, because I LOVE sci-fi, and ALTERED CARBON was definitely a favorite. Especially after the way season 2 ended, I was looking forward to seeing the series continue.
But if you’re in the same bucket, sounds like all may not be lost. Sounds like Skydance Television, the studio behind the series, is free to shop the series around to another provider or network. No word on whether they will. But one can definitely hope.
In the meantime, I guess I’ll be re-binging the first 2 seasons on Netflix. It’ll have to hold me till RAISED BY WOLVES hit’s HBO Max next month. Like I said, love me some sci-fi. Haha.
