So first part of the year is always a little light on movies to see. But here’s a quick rundown of shows I’ve been able to make it out to the theatre for…
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
AWESOME! If you haven’t heard already, this entry DEFINITELY erases the stink of Brett Ratner’s SHITBOX X-film.
PS: Stay until the VERY end of the credits.
CHEF
AWESOME! If you’re a fan of old school Jon Favero, you’ll love this movie. And it might ignite some passion in you! Definitely a back to basics for the director… now that I think about it, I can’t help but… [POSSIBLE SPOILER] wonder if this film is reflective of how the director feels about his career?
Either way, such a great, refreshing, heartfelt movie. But, go in on a full stomach. No joke. Not even 10 minutes in, stupid hungry.
NEIGHBORS
It was fun. But if you haven’t seen it? Probably more of a rental.
GODZILLA
Roland Emmerich’s remake sucked ass. Gareth Edward’s take? BAD ASS! But if you’re not a fan of monster on monster mayhem, you might skip this. But I hope you don’t. 🙂
The Other Woman
Sadly a terribly generic movie. Sure Kate Upton is super hot. But this is a Cameron Diaz we’ve seen before. The major highlight? A highlight that might make this movie worth sitting through?
Leslie Mann.
Her comedic stylings in this flick are hilarious! But the movie itself? As a whole, “meh”.
TRANSCENDENCE
Skip it. Seriously. If this is still in theatres, skip it.
