I definitely dug THE MANDALORIAN series. I mean, mostly season 1 over 2 and 3. But without a doubt enjoyed the series. I mean, LONE WOLF & CUB action with Mandalorians?
Sold.
When a movie was announced for THE MANDALORIAN was announced, I was definitely excited. But then the title came out, THE MANDALORIAN & GROGU. Not gonna lie, that got me a little worried. To be fair, don’t what else you would call the movie. But this title gave me more comedic vibes than anything else.
Seriously, what immediately came to mind was, TURNER AND HOOTCH.
Now we have our first trailer, still cautious about my optimism on this one. But check it out below.
Don’t get me wrong, this movie looks like a ton of fun. But it’s, without a doubt, a shift in tone from the series. And that I’m not sure about. I mean, I get trying to reach new audiences, but at the price of alienating your current fanbase? Got me a little worried.
But it’s still early, so all this worry might be for nothing.
Either way, we’ll find out in May 22nd!
