It’s nothing new, in the world of late, the idea of being “woke”, or the concept of “cancel culture” has been a bit of a thing, more so than usual. Most recent example of this has been Dave Chappelle and Netflix coming under fire over the comedian’s latest special on the platform, THE CLOSER.
In it, Chappelle made comments that many regarded as transphobic. And there definitely have been movements both in protest, and working to have the special removed from Netflix’s library.
