Without a doubt, of the movies I’ve been able to see over this pandemic, THE SUICIDE SQUAD has been my favorite! Pisses me off that outlets would about how the movie was a failure at the box office, which, technically is true from a hard numbers perspective. But this movie had two things going against it, it’s a DC movie. I mean, let’s be honest, DCEU movies have been hit or miss, and this movie had the unfortunate luck of being released during the pandemic with a day/date hybrid model.
So I get the reports. But still pisses me off. I mean, it’s one the highest streamed movies over HBO Max in it’s release. If you estimated dollar numbers with accounts, times, and new accounts gained that streamed the movie at it’s release, I’d be hard pressed to think the movie wasn’t a financial success.
Because, those of you who’ve seen the movie, it’s awesome AF. And those who haven’t, and even if you only know James Gunn’s work from GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, if you love his work, you’re gonna have a awesome time here.

Looks like THE SUICIDE SQUAD is currently available to own on Digital, and will be released on on Blu-Ray and 4K on October 26th.
