Staying true to Netflix’s promise for a new movie a week in 2021, we’ve been treated to the first trailer for, MOXIE, based on the book of the same name, directed by Amy Poehler. Check out the trailer below.
Fed up with the sexist and toxic status quo at her high school, a shy 16-year-old finds inspiration from her mother’s rebellious past and anonymously publishes a zine that sparks a school-wide, coming-of-rage revolution. Based on the novel by Jennifer Mathieu. Directed by Amy Poehler.
I gotta say, I love EVERYTHING about this trailer. Everything from the “coming-of-age” to spotlighting ‘zine culture, I am ready for this to drop! I have to say, the ‘zine aspect in particular is what drew me into this. That culture has been, and still is, a big part of my life. More than anything, being able to express yourself and finding your voice in it, is such a positive thing.
MOXIE drops on Netflix on March 3rd. Will you be watching? Drop your thoughts on the Fuzzybug Facebook Page today!
