MAN, I love me some Korean cinema! And I’ll fully admit I’m a little biased, as, you know, I’m Korean. But you throw some sci-fi in that, and I’m ALL IN! With that, I give you the trailer for Netflix’s SPACE SWEEPERS! Check it out below!
The premise of the movie is essentially you have a bunch of space junkers looking for their next payday. But on one of their hauls, they come across a young android, who happens to be a powerful bomb. And the action looks it’s coming from, do they protect the android and others, or turn the android into the black market for a big payday?
All I know is, being a fan of Korean cinema aside, this movie looks BAD ASS! From the how wild the space flights look, to the practical effects, and just the overall design. I mean, definitely sold on this, and will be tuning in.
Now I know this trailer is subtitled. And those of you who are not a fan a subs, there is a dub version that will be available when this movie hits. And honestly, whether Netflix handles the dubs or not, I’ve been pleasantly surprised how good the dubs are on their live action. I mean, not great, but by no means horrible.
But if you’ve been hungry for some sci-fi, SPACE SWEEPERS drops on Netflix on February 5th. Will you be tuning in?
