Sweet Jesus! Some good news during this pandemic. Looks like ‘Business Daddy’ loves them some John Oliver, because HBO has renewed LAST WEEK TONIGHT for 3 more seasons! Looks like, we’re getting some sweet, glorious, political satire/reporting weirdness, as only John Oliver can give until 2023, and hopefully beyond.
HBO and HBO Max Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys, had this to say:
For the past seven years, John and his incredibly talented team have taken on topics that are both in the public mind and off the beaten path, always managing to shed new light on these subjects with intelligence and searing humor…
…We are beyond thrilled to continue this relationship for three more years.
John Oliver added:
We’re all extremely happy to be able to continue to do our show on HBO for another three years, or until the end of the world, whichever comes first.
Here’s hoping until the end.
LAST WEEK TONIGHT has been on hiatus for the last 3 weeks. But is set to return on Sunday, September 27th.
