Lucifans, as we’re all stoked for Season 5’s premiere tomorrow on Netflix, sounds like our devilish binge-fest might be cut short. Comicbook.com is reporting that due to COVID-19, the finale to season 5 is as of yet unfinished.
Star Tom Ellis revealed in a interview that production went back into lockdown as a result of the pandemic.
So, we still have 60 percent of our season five finale to shoot.” As to what expects when production resumes, Ellis says, “It’s going to be challenging to say the least. We’ve had to find a way to stay safe whilst remaining productive. Film sets are usually a hive of activity with people constantly making adjustments and last-minute tweaks in small, confined spaces. Now, with the restrictions, everyone has to take their turn to do their job, so it’s going to have a big knock on effect to how much we can physically shoot in a day.
As you may know, season 5 was to be the show’s last. But by the grace of the devil, we got a sixth season! But before that news broke, season 5 was to be split into 2 parts. Don’t know if that’s still the plan, if so, our binge tomorrow might not be interrupted. But given the this situation, definitely would make the most sense to stick to that plan.
But just in case we’re getting it all at once, you’ve been warned.
Hope you all will be enjoying diving back into LUX tomorrow. Lord knows I will!
