Personally I don’t know how to feel about all this. I mean don’t get me wrong, the trailer is sweet AF, but just another Matrix movie after all this time seems off. Sure it’s not the first time Hollywood has given a franchise a follow-up more than a decade later. But it’s just curious what is there to say here?
To add to my apprehension about a sequel, the original movies were always planned as a trilogy. So what more could there be to be said? Also, with the original movies, with each follow-up, they got to be more and more “popcorn movie”, which is not a bad thing. But the story seemed to abandon the spiritual concepts presented in the first movie.
And that’s not to mention that only half the Warchowski’s will be part of the movie. So definitely worried about what we’re going to get here.
But still, the trailer looks like BADASS, and as worried as I may be, definitely looking forward to it.
