I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for this movie, I mean mother/daughter assassins with a group of library assassins, all starring Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Carla Gugino, Chloe Coleman, Ralph Ineson, Adam Nagaitis, Michael Smiley, Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett, and Paul Giamatti… I mean, YES PLEASE! And the trailer looks AWESOME! Check it out below!
Sam (KAREN GILLAN) was only 12 years old when her mother Scarlet (LENA HEADEY), an elite assassin, was forced to abandon her. Sam was raised by The Firm, the ruthless crime syndicate her mother worked for. Now, 15 years later, Sam has followed in her mother’s footsteps and grown into a fierce hit-woman.
But when a high-risk job goes wrong, Sam must choose between serving The Firm and protecting the life of an innocent 8-year-old girl – Emily (CHLOE COLEMAN). With a target on her back, Sam has only one chance to survive: Reunite with her mother and her lethal associates, The Librarians (MICHELLE YEOH, ANGELA BASSETT and CARLA GUGINO).

I mean, the action, the dialogue, the comedy… OH MAN, this can’t come soon enough! And better yet, if you didn’t already know, Netflix acquired the domestic rights for the movie in April from STX Entertainment, building on the streamer’s promise of a new movie every week this Summer. Better yet, sounds like a sequel is already in development, and I know I’ve been gushing on this trailer, but if it’s any indication, CAN’T WAIT from this series to build out.
