In, what feels like, a long line of cancellations over streaming, 1899<\/a> has been cancelled by Netflix. This news broke back in January, but I have to say, despite the Netflix CEO claiming they don\u2019t cancel successful shows, it was definitely a bummer to hear it got the axe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1899\u2019s co-creator, Baran bo Odar<\/a>, took to Instagram<\/a> to break the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While friends, family and critics LOVED and can\u2019t stop raving about DARK<\/a>, I could never get into it. But definitely bought in for 1899 and binged the season when it dropped. And so glad I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re not familiar with 1899, it\u2019s from the creators of DARK and I fondly think of it as a German, Victorian-era LOST (at least seasons 1-3) set at sea. But like the reference with LOST, definitely nothing is as it seems, which you can easily infer from the show\u2019s poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
