With LOKI having just ended its season, anyone ready for season 2, RIGHT NOW? Haha. But sadly, sounds like director of all 6 episodes of season 1, Kate Herron, won’t be back for season 2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always planned to be just on for this and to be honest, season two wasn\u2019t in the\u2014that\u2019s something that just came out and I\u2019m so excited…<\/p>Kate herron<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Sounds like in addition to planning for just 1 season, there are scheduling conflicts that prevent the possibility of negotiating a return. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s interesting too, because Herron confirm, like the MCU shows that came before, LOKI was initially conceived as a 1 season show. But as the production developed, while there was talk of a season 2, it was clear there was more story to tell. So the cliffhanger ending was conceived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have to say though, I mean, it’s a no brainer that I’m glad there’s another season, but even more so after that finale! I mean, after the way it ended, I was all, “NO, that can’t be it?!!!”, and sure enough it wasn’t…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh Marvel, you and your post-credits. Haha. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But without a doubt, definitely bummed Herron won’t be returning. While I can appreciate plans and conflicts, I definitely credit her with not only the performances of the actors, the direction of the story, but the overall look of the show, which I found so fantastic. It’ll definitely be interesting the shape the show may take in her absence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I do hope Herron returns to the MCU, and sounds like she wants to too…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love Marvel and I\u2019d love to work with them again, but my outing with\u00a0Loki\u00a0<\/em>is what I\u2019ve done with them,<\/p>Kate Herron<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, sounds like she’s looking forward to watching season 2 as a fan like the rest of us…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m really happy to watch it as a fan next season, but I just think I\u2019m so proud of what we did here and I\u2019ve given it my all.<\/p>Kate Herron<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
