And what\u2019s the overall take on <i>RIDDICK<\/i>?<\/p>\n<p>Eh.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t get me wrong, the movie was fun as hell. But sadly, more than anything, it felt like a remake of <i>Pitch Black. <\/i>Seriously, break it down from the trailer: stranded on a desolate planet, people hate Riddick, Bounty Hunters, and creepy ass monsters that really seem to business only at night\u2026 I mean it doesn\u2019t give you anything new.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Again, the movie is fun, and I give the filmmakers and it\u2019s star a lot of credit for wanting to get back to a more \u201cback to basics\u201d approach with this sequel. Even the sacrifices everyone had to make to get it done\u2026 but at the end of the day, just feels like a movie you\u2019ve already seen.<\/p>\n<p>Which I guess isn\u2019t a bad thing if that movie is <i>Pitch Black. <\/i>Unfortunately for <i>RIDDICK, <\/i>it just couldn\u2019t shake the <i>Chronicles of Riddick <\/i>stank that came before it.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I would wait till this one comes out on disc to watch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So everyone\u2019s favorite Furyan is back in action.
