So this definitely came out of no where for me, but EW has dropped the news that Netflix is releasing a NEW TRANSFORMERS SERIES!!! FEATURING THE GEN 1 BOTS!!! Check out the trailer above for the first installment of: TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON!<\/p>\n
Not gonna lie, that trailer looks pretty bad ass! If you’re curious about what the whole thing is all about, here’s a rundown from the streaming giant:<\/p>\n
In the midst of ongoing war on Cybertron, forces of good and evil clash as they search for the source of their power: the Allspark. This may not be the life they imagined, but it’s a life worth fighting for.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
But EW expands on that with each chapter of the trilogy will be an arch of 6, 22-episodes, with the series as a whole focusing on the final hours of the war on Cybertron.<\/p>\n
Now, I’m not gonna lie, I am so excited for this. Though, not crazy they’re incorporating the Allspark from the Michael Bay movies… but yea, definitely still excited! Though, admittingly, a little confused by the trailer too… from what it looked like, seemed like the Autobots were transforming into their Earth vehicles… but this would take place before they crash land on Earth… so yea, that was definitely a weird spot. But definitely will see if they work that out when the series hits.<\/p>\n
No word yet on when the series will premiere. But you better believe I’ll let you know!<\/p>\n
