Those of you who were not able to snag one, sounds like the last shipments will hit retailers this month.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In a statement to IGN, Nintendo confirmed the news:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year. We encourage anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The NES Classic hit stores last November, an adorable little shout out to their original North America system, to a sellout reception. When this thing was announced, kids from the &#8217;80s screamed with glee! While I&#8217;m sure the kids of today were all, &#8220;WTF! Where&#8217;s the polygons?!!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But of course, following Wii-style demand, it was next to impossible to find one these gems. Though scalpers made a fortune on eBay (fucking scalpers).
