[Season 4] goes to a place where it will be pretty hard to follow on immediately. We never say never on the show. I\u2019d love to revisit it, I\u2019d love to keep revisiting it, I stand by that. But in the immediate future we all have things that we want to crack on with and we\u2019ve made something very complete as it is, so I think we\u2019ll just wait and see. The idea of never playing him again is really galling.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It sounds like the star will always want to reprise the character. But it&#8217;s understandable that it is now more and more difficult with he, and Martin Freeman (Watson), becoming bigger and bigger movie stars, scheduling time for seasons is definitely a nightmare.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure, like the rest of you, here&#8217;s hoping there will be a season 5.
