I’ve been a little late to the magic that is Woody Allen. My first film of his being Midnight in Paris. But I have to say ever since, I’ve been a fan, renting and digging out his earlier movies, and eagerly awaiting his latest ones like Blue Jasmine. And much to my excitement and surprise, at least for me, out of no where, a trailer for a new movie has been released.
And the title of this film? Magic in the Moonlight, and you can check out the trailer after the jump. Continue reading TRAILER: Woody Allen’s MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT

You know, when I first heard about this movie, I was skeptical. But then more and more details starting coming in. Like LUC BESSON IS DIRECTING! Some of you may not think that’s a big deal, his name never really disappearing being attached to films like TAKEN, Columbiana, The Transporter, and more. But in those instances, only producing, writing, story development, or some combination of all three.
But this time he’s writing AND directing!

Holy geez, when 21 JUMPSTREET came out I really didn’t know what to expect. But it quickly became my FAVORITE comedy that year! I couldn’t remember the last time I laughed that hard!
Well, Sony/Columbia has released the greenband trailer to the highly anticipated sequel, 22 JUMPSTREET! And honestly it looks just as funny, if not funnier, than the original.
This is marked to hit theatres June 13, 2014. You stoked?
Funny to have Samuel L. Jackson’s character talk about America being “robo-phobic” given to the response to a lot of the early leaked pics for this remake. BUT that aside, the first full trailer for ‘RoboCop’ is here!
Check it out!
So apparently the internet has been a buzz with the trailer for the next Call of Duty game dubbed, Ghosts. Honestly, not sure why. Yea, it’s a fun sequence. But it doesn’t show you anything about the game?
Is it just me? Or you should show the product you’re marketing? I don’t know. Oh, and Megan Fox makes a cameo (you can play as a female character in multi-player… actually surprised it took them this long to implement that…).
But yea, ultimately, fun commercial, check it out!
Chances are you’ve already seen this. But 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, and it looks AWESOME! It’s definitely great to have Bryan Singer behind the camera again for the X-Men.
But I won’t keep ranting about this, check out the trailer below!
Just as I post about Wes Anderson’s book coming out, I learn that one of my favorite directors, and all around creative talent, Guillermo del Toro, has a book coming out.
Guillermo del Toro Cabinet of Curiosities: My Notebooks, Collections, and Other Obsessions
The rundown of the book is described as,
Over the last two decades, writer-director Guillermo del Toro has mapped out a territory in the popular imagination that is uniquely his own, astonishing audiences with Cronos, Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, and a host of other films and creative endeavors. Now, for the first time, del Toro reveals the inspirations behind his signature artistic motifs, sharing the contents of his personal notebooks, collections, and other obsessions. The result is a startling, intimate glimpse into the life and mind of one of the world’s most creative visionaries. Complete with running commentary, interview text, and annotations that contextualize the ample visual material, this deluxe compendium is every bit as inspired as del Toro is himself.
Contains a foreword by James Cameron, an afterword by Tom Cruise, and contributions from other luminaries, including Neil Gaiman and John Landis, among others.
And honestly I can’t wait. Having the pleasure of seeing this man speak in person, you can’t help but know this man has a HUGE passion for his craft, an amazing imagination, is without ego, and is just a huge kid at heart.
And after watching the trailer for this book (below), how he talks about wanting to find kindred spirits, and wanting to inspire others in their storytelling… yea, again, can’t wait for this book. And I look forward to diving into his creative process.
Guillermo del Toro Cabinet of Curiosities: My Notebooks, Collections, and Other Obsessions will be released on October 29th. I’ve got mine pre-ordered, click on the title link to pre-order on Amazon if you’d like to order too!
I can’t say it enough, I LOVE the films by Wes Anderson. And I cannot even begin to tell you HOW stoked I am to learn there’s a new film coming from the iconic director! AND a trailer was released today!
The film in question, The Grand Budapest Hotel, which follows a legendary concierge and his friendship with a young employee, and as with every film, Anderson’s trademark look is seen throughout the trailer. But what is interesting is that the trailer is presented in a fullscreen format? Which, oddly enough, seems to suit the director’s style of filmmaking, and just makes me even more curious how it will play out in the theatre.
But check out the trailer, and first poster for the film after the jump Continue reading TRAILER AND POSTER FOR ‘THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL’
