Pirates 5? Really?

So turns out, speaking of sequels, a 5th Pirates of the Caribbean is happening. This one being titled, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Why do I mentioned it here? Well, looks like this was slated to come out next year. But recently Disney has decided to push it back to 2016. Reportedly there is no specific reason for the delay. Sounds like the Mouse is happy with how the production is going, they just want to give the picture more development time.

Which honestly is probably a smart move. With so many genre movies coming out in the next few years, and a lackluster installment that was On Stranger Tides, more time to develop the picture is probably best.

But personally, kind of done with this franchise. Kinda think you’ve done all you can with it. But we’ll see what happens.

Jurassic… World?

Well the on and off again, long-rumored follow-up to Jurassic Park 3 is confirmed, and even has a release date, June 12, 2015.

As far as story details? Pretty sure this is all rumor at this point. But sounds like it’ll be set in present day, on everyone’s favorite dino-island, Isla Nublar. Supposedly, after several attempts, Jurassic Park is up and running, and completely safe until, you know, it’s not.

Looks like DC isn’t done with 52 changes just yet…

That’s right boys and girls. Looks like LOBO is getting an overhaul. And if you’ve been reading DC, and are thinking, “Didn’t he already show up in the new 52?!”

Yes he has. But looks like that guy is a fake, and what the story is actually about.

According to DC Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras, he has the following to say about the new Lobo…

This Lobo is equal parts strong, vicious, and driven. There’s a darker and more logical idea about what a force of nature like him is capable of. After all, this is someone who can infiltrate high society, fly a space ship, and adhere to a very specific moral code that’s not your typical anti-hero one. Oh, and, this one-shot takes place very far away from Earth. And when I say very far away, I mean it takes place literally on the other side of the galaxy.
