If you’ve ever visited an Alamo theatre, you’ll know that one of things they’re famous for is their “don’t talk or text” policy. That being, if you do either, and it disturbs those around you, be prepared to get kicked out without a refund.
But to go with that fantastic policy, are the bumps before showtime, often with celebrities, to tell you that. The new one? Well, in anticipation of it’s release, TED 2!

So, Tomorrowland may have been co-written by Damon “I’m so much more awesome than you” Lindelof, but with Brad Bird at the helm, there’s no way I’m not excited about this. If you saw the teaser that came out awhile back, this spot gives you a little more of the fantastic to see.

I have to say one of the fun things about indulging in this site, and this movie passion, is learning about movies that look tremendously fascinating. The movie of the moment? KUMIKO, THE TREASURE HUNTER.

Ever since DISTRICT-9, I’ve been a big fan of Neill Blomkamp, even his not so well received, ELYSIUM. Just the worlds he creates feel so layered, and his films are so character-driven. At least for me anyway. But when I first heart about CHAPPIE, I was so intrigued and excited to see how this film would shape up. Though a similar look to his previous films, initial details made it sound like the director’s version of ANNIE, and again, that had me hooked.
And now Sony Pictures has released the first poster and trailer for the film, check them both out after the jump. Continue reading First Trailer and Poster for CHAPPIE
Gotta say, don’t get a sequel to this movie… I mean, I get it. The first made a lot of money, and was, funny as well. BUT from a story perspective? Just seems like it’s trying to cash in the success of the first movie. Which, probably is exactly the case. I just find that notion disappointing.
BUT enough of my soap box. Warner Bros. put out a trailer for the sequel, and you can check it out after the jump!

Hard core sci-fi always seems to be few and far in theatres these days. But this year we’ve had a few gems, between EDGE OF TOMORROW, SNOWPIERCER, and, yea, I’ll even put GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY in the bucket of “hardcore sci-fi”, and thankfully this trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down with the release of AUTOMATA this October!
Check out the trailer after the jump.
