Yea, I know you’ve heard the news by now, but HUGH JACKMAN IS RETURNING AS WOLVERINE FOR DEADPOOL 3! And I’m geeking out ALL OVER THE PLACE! There’s been fan casting and speculation about who would be cast in the role as mutants enter the MCU… well, I can only assume, we have our answer! I mean, Hugh Jackman has set such a standard and garnered so much love for his breakthrough role, hard to imagine anyone else in the role.
But the announcement came as a response for Ryan Reynolds missing D23. Check it out below.
Though as excited as I am for this, I can’t help but wonder how it will play out in the larger scheme of things. Like, is Hugh Jackman entering the MCU? Reynolds has joked about Deadpool entering the MCU, but DEADPOOL 3 was absent from the titles MARVEL Studios announced at Comic-Con. So is this to be its own thing? Not unlike JOKER being separate from the DCEU? The more you go down the rabbit hole, DEFINTELY makes the head hurt. Haha.
But adding to the announcement, the actors dropped some “answers” in how the movie will play out…
So going back to the continuity of things. In addition to the unknown if this is part of the MCU. Those wondering how this plays with LOGAN, clearly this will be a separate thing.
But however this fits into universes and canon, I am SO STOKED for this. Fans have loved Ryan Reynolds’ humor on and off-screen since forever, and you add the friendship he and Hugh Jackman share, and how that will play on-screen, I CAN’T WAIT!
