It’s no secret that Netflix has been investing heavily in Korean cinema, even before SQUID GAME. But especially after SQUID GAME’s success, I can only imagine the streamer is diving even more aggressively into that well. And after SPACE SWEEPERS, SWEET HOME, the aforementioned SQUID GAME to name a few, I’m definitely here for it.
But what’s up next from Korea for the streamer? A sci-fi thriller, THE SILENT SEA. Check out the trailer below.
The description on the YouTube page was a little light, only saying:
An abandoned lunar base
A mission with a 10% survival rate
One by one, crew members end up dead
But FirstShowing.net was able to go more in-depth about the series, stating in an age where Earth is suffering from a lack of food and water, a team is sent on a 24-hour mission to the moon to retrieve samples that presumably could save the world.
But one by one, team members start showing up dead. Undoubtedly from there this becomes a game for survival.
All I got to say is, SOLD. And the beautiful part is, if you liked the teaser, you’re not going to have to wait long, as it hits Netflix next month. December 24th to be precise.
