That’s right friends, there’s a THIRD movie for MY HERO ACADEMIA that’s hit! MY HERO ACADEMIA THE MOVIE: WORLD HEROES’ MISSION (I know, when did a third movie happen, right?). Looks like it opened on August 6th in Japan to a tune of 310 yen (roughly $2.81 million) on opening day. While that may sound small compared to opening day takes in the US, WORLD HEROES’ MISSION opened 229% stronger than its predecessor, HEROES RISING.
As for the story surrounding WORLD HEROES’ MISSION? Well…
…a mysterious organization dedicated to the destruction of people with Quirks has issued a threat and set bombs all over the world. Pro Heroes and those in Hero Internships scramble to find the bombs. Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki encounter Rody, a boy living in a mobile home in their designated area of Oseon, and end up working with him.

Can’t find any news on when this third entry will hit the states. Well, sounds like season 5 has long since wrapped in Japan, with it airing on March 27th. So with us in the states still in the midst of waiting those glorious weekly episodes on Funimation, one can only hope the sub/dub is in production and we’ll be treated once season 5 finishes.
Here’s hoping.
