Holy cow otaku, looks like we’re getting a new SWORD ART ONLINE movie! This one being dubbed, SWORD ART ONLINE – PROGRESSIVE – ARIA OF A STARLESS NIGHT. Yes, hella long title, but, NEW SAO!!!
News came at Aniplex’s recent Online Fest with the release date in Japan dated for October 30th, and in the US being, “coming soon”.
In terms of the movie’s plot? Sounds like we’ll be getting a retelling of the Aincrad arc, which was the first season of the anime. But from the look of things, looks like this will be told from Asuna’s point-of-view. So, it’ll definitely be interesting to see how her story is told before she teamed up with Kirito fulltime.
